Blackpool International Airport

Blackpool International Airport is the Gateway airport for visitors into Blackpool, Lancashire & The Lake District.

Flights offered from Blackpool include both charter and scheduled flights mostly across European holiday sun spots such as Alicante, Malaga, Faro, Palma etc but also to Belfast, Dublin and the Isle of Man.

Blackpool originated as an airfield in 1909 and was the site of the first UK Air Show.  Today, the airport’s flights are operated  by, and Aer Lingus Regional.

Blackpool’s GA and corporate traffic is extremely important to the airport as is the Bond Offshore helicopter operation servicing the gas rigs in the Irish Sea.

In January 2009, Blackpool Airport introduced a £10 Airport Development Fee payable by all departing passengers and free passenger parking for up to 15 days.  Blackpool offers a fast track, hassle free airport experience.
